A Unique Blend of Skills for a Holistic Tutoring Approach
Since I was young, I’ve always loved learning about the incredibly complexity of the human mind. This led me to pursue a degree in psychology, which made me critically reflect on my thoughts and beliefs, the nuances of communication, and the importance of emotional regulation. Through this degree, I learned to appreciate how varied backgrounds influence perception, and develop strategies for effective learning and communication.
However, my journey was not without its challenges. The traditional paths of psychology felt limiting, and I wanted to find a career that would allow me to explore my passion of helping others. It was during this time that I realized I could bring together these skills through a career in teaching.
Through teaching, I was able to unify my passion for understanding human nature, my love for logic puzzles, and my desire to help others, into a fulfilling career. This blend of knowledge in math, science, and psychology allows me to offer a unique approach to tutoring that is both effective and deeply personal.
My success with tutoring also allowed me to find a job at a local school, ArtsCalibre Academy. There, I work as a high school math and science teacher, as well as an after-school tutor for the students that need that extra little push.
